They're a bunch of dishonest, lying crooks. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE. I recently made that mistake on Sept 9th, 2017. On Oct 9th, 2017 the vehicle had some issues. Exactly 30 days to the day of leaving their lot. They have me take it to their shop. Conveniently owned by this same scam artist. I call the shop a couple days later and I'm told the mechanic is running tests on electrical system to find out the issue and he will call me the following day. Two more days go by and I hear nothing. So I call them back again. At this point the mechanic tells me the engine is shot and needs to be replaced. Again conveniently this is the dealership owned mechanic shop. MSI auto repair on Stewart street. The mechanic tells me he spoke to the owner of the dealership and the owner of the vehicle (I'm assuming he is referring to the lien holder considering I am the purchaser) and informs me that the dealership will conveniently cover the "mechanics fees" if I purchase a new engine at $2500. I ask for the owner of the dealership to call me and discuss this matter with me. No call. I call the dealership and conveniently the owner is never around or isn't available. I have left messages with two people at his dealership for him to call me as well as messages through his "mechanic" for him to call and I'm told he is just a busy man owning a dealership and basically doesn't have the time for a phone call with me. Are you serious? You don't have time to talk to a customer about issues but you have time to send messages through a third party? Yeah I'm calling bull$#it on that. So I contacted my financial institution about the matter. They are currently looking into avenues of approach to be taken considering the first payment on the vehicle has yet to be made. Oh and Rob, the mechanic, who told me he discussed it with the owner? Well my financial institution had no idea and nothing anywhere in their notes about anyone calling to discuss this matter with them. They haven't even received the paperwork on the vehicle about the completed sale yet. I'm still digging and I WILL get answers. I would walk everywhere before I ever thought about buying another vehicle from these douchebags.

****UPDATE*****

By MSI "conveniently" covering the mechanic cost, does not just mean our time. Many things have to be considered. New fluids, water pump, gaskets, spark plugs, hoses, oil, filters etc. Not to mention our time in finding the right motor and arranging for shipping which is costly in itself.

"At this point Jeff the whole staff at MSI has talked in length about your situation. And after reading the review you posted we feel it would be best for you to come and get your truck.

****UPDATE*****

I have had very good luck with MSI. I bought a car there about two and a half years ago. The staff were very helpful and made sure I was happy with my car. Since then I have sent a few others there who were looking for a car. Everyone I have sent to them has had the same customer experience. Keep up the good work guys!

I read through the reviews here before I went to MSI and it made me a little nervouse, but I've experienced none of what some of these poor reviews have to say. We were even able to work special terms into the agreement to have some things on the car fixed. I was also really happy with the extended warranty I was able to get. A warranty that will take my car all the way to 3 years or 100k additional miles! Thanks for a great experience, Adam!

I personally read your review more than once late last night, and feel you left many things out. You should not have driven the truck to the dealership, you should not have added more oil and instead had it towed. Would this have changed the out come? Not sure but continuing to drive it surly didn't help. And seeing as how you did drive it into the lot, our sales mens who are not mechanics would have said exactly what they said. Take it to our repair facility.( which every dealership "conveniently" has) Since you drove it in they would assume it wasn't that bad.

****UPDATE*****

This is because my last review doesn't seem to be up anymore. I bought a car form these guys back in May if 2016. I thought the deal was too good to be true, but the owner, Rahman, seemed to be a real outstanding individual, and guaranteed me the car was in good shape, minus the "slight" transmission problem, and I was told it needed a tune up. He was very personable and noticed what I was wearing, so we talked about sports, soccer in specific. He even mentioned that I should come play with his team sometime. I asked about everything functioning correctly, and was guaranteed it would all work. That was a lie! The transmission issue turned out to basically needing a new transmission, the tuneup....a few cylinders were misfiring. One of the ballasts on the HID headlights was broke, and the convertible top leaked. It turned out to be a mess. I put a little over a grand into the car, and then just got rid of it. I lost so much money on thsi transaction, and I'd shut this dealer down if I could.

We were completely sympathetic to your situation and took in many factors when coming to the decision that we offered you.

Ok so apparently the reviews are only welcomed by the staff here if they have positive things to say. I am attaching a text message I just received from the mechanic.

I recently bought a car from Adam at MSI. It was a great experience. He let me take the car for a ride and even back to my house to see if it was functional enough for all of the things I need in a car with 3 kids. He was honest and transparent with me and listened to what my concerns were with the car, and I think we were able to agree on a great deal for both of us.

***TEXT FROM MECHANIC***

So there you have it folks. Make your own decision and take it however you want.

Once again Jeff I'm sincerely sorry for this experience and truly did try to come to a way that would be as helpful to you as possible. We are open 9am to 6pm Monday thru Friday. Please make arrangements to pick it up as soon as possible.."

Traveled from Eastern NC to purchase this beauty of a truck. Paid full asking price for an incredible vehicle. Adam was forthcoming with all mis-givings of vehicle and provided detailed pictures of them. Adam was a pleasure to do business with and had nothing to haggle on price with. Vehicle was exactly as he described..
